You can swim wearing your Hair Extensions, however saltwater and chlorinated pool water will shorten the lifespan your Hair extensions.
If you do swim wearing extensions it’s important not to let the salt or chlorinated water dry in your hair. Rinse well straight after swimming with clean water.

Rapunzel for Hair Tape Hair Extensions are made with the finest quality AAAAA grade European Remy Hair on the market.

This entire range is made from a carefully selected batch of premium silky soft 100% Human Hair that is Double Drawn ensuring a super thickness from root to tip.

This will depend on the needs & style you want to achieve.

To add some volume to your hair about 20 pieces(50 grams) is enough to create more body.

For thin/ fine hair 40 pieces (100 grams) is optimal to achieve a full head with length & body.

For most customers with medium thickness hair, we recommend using 40-60 pieces (100grams-150grams).

For those wanting super volume or with very short or very thick natural hair, 60-80 piece’s 150 grams- 200grams) is ideal.

Extensive research has enabled Rapunzel for Hair to source & use the highest quality Tape Adhesive on the market.

The USA made tape has a very strong & will hold for the entire 8 weeks until they need moving up/re-taping. The tape’s will hold even during sport, swimming, washing &showering.

FAQ Clip in Hair Extensions

1. Preparing your natural hair for application. The is one of the most important tips for seamless results and will help to ensure the extensions are undetectable. This may mean blow drying your hair to give it some volume & then straightening the ends so there is no obvious lines or kinks between the end of your natural hair and your extensions.

2. Start at the bottom of your head at the nape area, segment a section of your hair and use sectioning clips (available here) to neatly part the hair & clip out of the way. Some like to back-comb before applying the extensions, however this is not necessary as Rapunzel for Hair clips are silicon backed for extra grip and protection for your hair.

3. Continue this method, sectioning your hair about 1 inch above the last.

4. Apply your 2 clip & 1 clip pieces on either side of your head, with the 2 clips to be placed on either side of your head and the individual clip pieces to be placed at the front to balance out any layers you have in your natural hair.

5. Style to taste! Remember to use heat styling tools on low to medium settings & always use a heat protectant prior to straightening or curling. You can also trim and layer your new Rapunzel for Hair Clip In Extensions if you prefer a more tapered, layered look.

We use AAAAA grade Remy 100% human hair sourced from Indian temples. All sets are double drawn and triple wefted for thickness to the ends. You can expect silky, soft result that blends naturally with your own hair.

Just like your own hair, Shedding is very normal with Hair Extensions. Some shedding is to be expected when you first open up your set and brush it through in the first one or two wears however this should stop from then on.

We allow for 3-5% hair loss in the weight of your set. If you feel there is excessive shedding in your set, please feel free to contact us!

At Rapunzel for Hair, Our 8 piece 120gram sets is designed for thin/fine hair or customers who want to add a little bit of volume & thickness for a natural, everyday look.

For customers with medium-extra thick hair, we recommend purchasing 2 sets.

Rapunzel forHair Extensions’ can be washed, just like any other high quality Hair Extensions. Please note that washing does shorten the life of extensions as they do not receive natural oils from the roots and scalp. Unlike your natural hair, your clip in Hair Extensions cannot recreate oils to naturally condition your hair, meaning every time you begin washing clip in hair extensions you reduce the natural oils of the human hair. Therefore, they may start to become dry if washed too often.
We suggest washing your Hair Extensions if they are holding an odour for example smoke or after wearing them enough times to notice a change in appearance or feel. There is no set time-frame on how often you need to be washing your hair extensions. DO NOT use shampoo’s containing Sodium Laureth Sulphate, as Sulphate’s & will strip the moisture out of the Hair Extensions.

FAQ Keratin Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions

They are Hair Extension strands that are bonded together with an adhesive such as Keratin, glue, plant based & Petroleum based adhesives. These bonds are softened with an application machine and joined to the natural hair.

This method is also known by other names such as Hot Fusion, Nail Hair Extensions, Keratin Strands, Extensions with wax, Keratin Extensions and U-Tip Extensions.

Rapunzel for Hair Keratin Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions are made with the finest quality AAAAA grade European Remy Hair on the market.

This entire range is made from a carefully selected batch of premium silky soft 100% Human Hair that is Double Drawn ensuring a super thickness from root to tip.

The tips themselves are made of a durable 100% Italian Polymer which holds well to increase the longevity of your hair extensions.

The Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions are applied using a hot iron/ Bond Applicator to heat the bonds.We supply all the necessary tools.

Rapunzel for Hair Extensions are virtually invisible if placed correctly by a qualified Hairdressing technician. The bonds are set close to the head and never at the hair part or the hairline. Because the extensions are set in rows, in the natural direction of your own hair, they are discreet and indistinguishable to your own hair.

The main cause of hair breakage in inferior Hair Extension bonds & incorrect application. Rapunzel for Hair’s synthesized keratin bond mimics your natural hair’s structure by expanding and contracting with your hair shaft. This results in no strain on the hair. Correct application is also vital to prevent hair breakage. The Rapunzel for hair keratin bonding process will not damage your hair if applied in the prescribed manner by a qualified Hairdressing technician.

Removal of the Rapunzel for Hair Pre-Bonded strands is relatively easy. Your qualified hairdresser will apply a gentle solvent on the bonds removing them with a tool. It is highly recommended to always return to the salon to have your hair extensions professionally removed. However, if you feel confident, please follow these steps:

  • 1) Take a small piece of cotton wool & place it behind the extension (this will protect the scalp when you squeeze the remover on to the bond). For extra protection simply use the plastic protectors.
  • 2) Squeeze 2-3 drops of Bond Remover onto the Extension Bond allowing the cotton wool to soak up the product.
  • 3) Then wrap the cotton wool around the bond secure with a small clip. Repeat this procedure on 4 extensions allowing the product to penetrate.
  • 4) Take the Removal Pliers & go back to the first extension. Remove the cotton wool & gently break the bond by opening & closing the pliers. The bond will have been softened & once manipulated will crumble into powder form.
  • 5) Hold the Natural Hair & gently slide the extension away from the head.
  • 6) Use a quality hydrating cleansing shampoo & conditioner to wash away any keratin residue on your natural hair.

With regular maintenance, Rapunzel for Hair Extensions can last up to six months depending on your natural hair. As your hair grows, the bond will naturally grow out with your hair.

As a guide, we suggest replacing your hair extensions every 4-6 months or when they lose their original look & feel. Proper TLC will extend the life of your Hair Extensions.
